KONI shock absorber

These Koni dampers with twin-tube oil pressure technology significantly improve the handling of the VW Beetle and Karmann Ghia (Type-14) from '53 up to '65 and Type-2 Bus (Split Screen) up to '67. Each shock absorber is customised for the respective Volkswagen, resulting in better road holding with greater driving comfort and a higher level of safety.

The Koni Special (red) damper has been engineered to maximize the ride comfort with good handling performance for each vehicle application. The Koni Sport (yellow) shock typically starts at a higher initial valving baseline to give a sportier feel and work on VWs with higher performance parts.
