With this cooling system you can give every Type-4 engine in a VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia (Type-14), Type-2 Bus (Split Screen and Bay Window) and Thing (Type-181) that coveted Porsche 911 look.
It comes with a special fan ring and a mass production alternator, which is cost-cutting and helps to get a replacement easily in the case of malefunction. The modern 12 blades fan works more quiet due to an improved design. Special machining of the engine case is required if you want to get the cooling system under the closed engine lid. And the stock oil cooler has to be replaced by an external cooler.
The kit includes a fan shroud out of black dyed glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) or optional out of ultra light (approx. 740 g) carbon fiber. The carbon fiber version is a weight-optimised motorsport part without surface finishing. It can show air bubbles due to the production method.
There may be adjustment work necessary like with all glass fibre parts.
